A posh and luxurious hotel with an old world European charm. Bedrooms are new, clean and designed in the classical style. The hotel is a very quick five minute walk from the JR Sendai train station. A one bedroom will cost approximately $140 USD if booked 3 weeks in advanced.

The hotel offers three restaurants: one Chinese, one Japanese and one French.

The Westin Sendai
A brisk fifteen minute walk west from JR Sendai station, the Westin Sendai stands tall as one of the tallest buildings in the downtown area. The hotel is very posh and done in the modern minimalistic style, in contrast to the Olde World classic style of the Montery. Rooms are sleek, sharp and very classy. The most inexpensive one bedroom will cost $340 USD, and go up to $500 and higher depending on the size of the room.
Possibly the most rapturing feature of the hotel is the ground flour pastry shop, where you can devour a wide assortment of European delights including: orange scones, almond cakes and madeleines.

Hotel Jal City Sendai
Just a quick 15 minute walk North of Sendai JR Station, you'll find the modest yet affordable JAL Sendai. Rooms start at approximately $110 USD. They are fresh and clean (reminiscent of a Holiday Inn) but lack the dazzle and atmosphere of the Monterey and Westin.
The hotel features one restaurant, a bar and a coffee shop.

Toyoko Inn Kagoshima
An attractive and affordable hotel, the Toyoko Inn is clean, has free wifi, flat screen TVs and other goodies. Single rooms start at only $65 US.

Hotel Richfield
A posh hotel right in the center of the city on Aoba street. Hotel Richfield has very good ratings and comes highly recommend. Expect to spend around $145 for a single.
